Eric Bergman, BPA, ABC, APR, MC, FCPRS
Eric Bergman developed At Ease With the Media as a "traditional" training program in the early 1990s because he wanted to offer his clients training that is based on models of excellence in public relations and communication management.
In 2008, he developed the online version of At Ease With the Media for two reasons. First, he wanted to make the concept of managing exchanges with journalists to win-win outcomes available to a wider audience. Second, he wanted to separate theoretical from practical, so that in-person training would spend less time discussing theory and more time practicing.
Eric has been a public relations practitioner for more than 30 years. For more than two decades, his business has focused on providing presentation skills and media training to clients in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Eric holds a bachelor of professional arts in communication studies from Athabasca University and a two-year diploma in advertising & public relations from Grant MacEwan College. He is an accredited business communicator, an accredited public relations practitioner and a master communicator, and a member of the College of Fellows of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
He also holds a fifth-degree black belt in Wado-Kai karate. When not traveling, he teaches karate three nights per week.
