Eric Bergman developed At Ease With the Media as a "traditional" media training program in the early 1990s. He wanted to offer his clients training based on models of excellence in public relations and communication management.
In 2009, he developed the online version of At Ease With the Media. This separates the theoretical from practical, so that in-person training spends less time discussing theory and more time focusing on improving spokesperson skills.
Whether delivered as traditional training or a train-the-trainer guide, no other media training program offers the quality of learning experience of At Ease With the Media—online, in person, or both.
Eric has been a public relations practitioner for 30-plus years. For more than two decades, his career has focused on providing presentation skills and media training to clients in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Eric holds a bachelor of professional arts in communication studies from Athabasca University, and a two-year diploma in advertising & public relations from Grant MacEwan College.
He is an accredited business communicator and an accredited public relations practitioner. He is a master communicator, and he has earned more than a dozen local, national and international awards.
He is also a fifth-degree black belt in Japanese-style karate. When not traveling, he teaches karate three nights per week.
